The Interdisciplinary Research Program “Organization and Well-being”, formally constituted in the 80s’ after more than a decade of interdisciplinary research about work and health, is aimed at identifying the relationships between the choices that structure the work processes and the subjects’ health as defined by the World Health Organization in terms of physical, mental and social well-being.
The Research Program, coordinated by Bruno Maggi, former Professor of Organization Theory at the University of Bologna, is based on the Theory of Organizational Action. A variety of bodies of knowledge such as biomedicine, economics, sociology, psychology and engineering, are integrated through the utilization of the Method of the Organizational Congruences.
The outcome of research activities, analysis of work situations for prevention and seminar debates are published in books and scientific journals.
